Congrats! DC is a great place to live. Seconding the commuting thing--it can be a real pain, especially when there is any weather (DC drivers can't handle snow)...

Congrats! DC is a pretty great experience. One of my friends is currently working there and is staying in Georgetown. I used to go play in DC on the weekends in HS. x)

I would suggest building extra time into your commute for weather/Metro breaking down (20 min or so at least). It happens a lot.
