I didn't really know any info about the shells thing, nor the logging into other accounts, so I don't have any comments about that. I don't understand why I can't trade, or even PM. I never gave my brother permission to log onto my account, so that can't be a reason. I was told by something that I could sell my brothers stuff, but I believe when someone pointed it out to me that I can't I took the trade forum down. I have proof that all of the stuff I was selling was mine, I don't see why if someone's sibling gets banned they can't go on clraik either when I've contributed a lot to the community and I have a perfect feedback score, selling lots of expensive things with no problems.

This isnt about Spitfire or Bacon.
Though they were my shells he was accessing, but I dont give a fuck.

In regards to this whole issue, I think that so as long as you aren't aware the account belongs to someone on the forum, then go for it.
There really is no other way, every account belongs to someone.
And seeing as John wasn't aware initially, I agree with his sentiment, not to mention he doesn't know the person who the account belonged to.
But the fact Kylae told him this and offered a replacement of equal value out of her own pocket, then I dont see what the issue is.
If anything, its admirable of her to that for her friend without hindering John's profits.

As Andrew said, its a question of morality.
Personally, If I knew an account belonged to someone here, I would not access it.

I was logged out of the email within a few minutes of being allowed inside after he realized his error but it was enough time for me to get into the Neopets account and acquire back my pet. A scammer doesn't just get to come back because their first scam was foiled, especially if the rest went through after.
I don't see my brother as a scammer, that was a tricky situation, and Furby influenced a lot of his desicions (though, I'm not saying he couldn't choose for himself.)

Also, my brother is telling me to say that he did NOT try to lock you out at first, and he thinks because Furby had the information to the account, he tried to do it to. I can't say if any of that is true or not, but he seems really set on saying that he did not try to lock you out at first.

Question, was this thread aimed at actually resolving an issue of the policy of "Hack or be Hacked" ? Or was this simply a means of getting reimbursement ? Because the actual question of where that line is drawn kind of got avoided by both parties once this situation came to light.

The rest of the story makes sense for him to be banned. Just not the part about getting a UC from a unreg email.

It wasn't tricky, your brother was a scammer. He scammed in several areas, and lied about the email. Which is a totally different situation than this.

That being said, I still don't agree with the policy, but katia and I have worked out an alternative that we are both happy with. The account remains untouched.
