I don't use the apps at all. They aren't on my desktop. I had to reinstall skype. So that app thing i only use to find paint quickly. That's about the only thing i really like. I can hit the windows button, type what i need and not have to manually search for it.

I'm not really a fan either, I like simple set up and the switch over from desktop to whatever the other screen is called hurts my tiny brain.

Yeah, it's definitely very different.
I agree, the interface is meant for mobile and does a terrible job on laptops. You can install an app that skips out of Metro or whatever they changed the name to, though. The boot time is faster and security is better though, so that is nice.
