Some people say baking soda and water helps with the pain, I can't be sure though. :o

And yes. All you aspiring scientists out there, get on it asap pls.

And you should bring a mosquito tent next time :o In some parts of Asia there are these mesh tents made out of netting that you can set up on your bed so you can breathe but the mosquitoes can't get in. (; They're really handy.

lemme google that, don't wanna be in even worse pain.
    Rubbing alcohol made me scream.

Well, my house is out in mid-country, so I guess I'll have to. x.x
we got those dumb candles, but all it did was make my throat and nose dry, and I still had bites all up and down my legs.

omg do we need to kill any other bugs
    like ants
i always used to stomp on ants.

Until I stepped in a fire ant nest.
    nobody else does anything that dumb ;_;

Yeah I never rely on chemical or airborne mosquito repellants, I don't know what that stuff'll end up doing to my lungs after prolonged usage, heh.

At my old place we had a sparrow nest under our air conditioner and every year one of the chicks would accidentally fall. It was really sad, but my sorrow was usually quickly replaced with disgust because ants used to swarm over it. A little mountain of writhing legs and mandibles. Now they get into our kitchen all the time and swarm over our food. I can't stand ants.

As strange as it may sound, rubbing a freshly cut garlic clove on bee stings has always worked for me and my little brother. My parents and grandparents always swore by this and I didn't question it until recently, and found out it's actually a common home remedy for bee stings!

When I was 5, one time there was a spider in the corner of the ceiling in my living room, so I grabbed a can of Raid, jumped on top of my couch, and tried to get the bugger.
But I was still too short and ended up getting more of that poison cloud on myself than the spider.

It was a dizzy, barf-filled afternoon.

We used to keep Raid around for bugs at my old place too, but we've since stopped. I figure if the stuff's so bad for them it can't be any better for us if we breathe it in, either.

When I see bugs in the house nowadays I just use my handy dandy slipper (and maybe some Windex).

Also, my electric paddle. It's a weird battery powered tennis racket that you can wave at flying bugs. Zap. Warning: Do not try on house centipedes

I snapped one once, trying to swing a tennis ball.

And for something that runs on a few AA batteries, it hurts like a bitch.

You tried to use yours to actually play tennis? Ew.

I don't know about you, but after a few years of summer mosquito murder there were way too many legs and singed wings in that thing for me to comfortably swing it around unless I absolutely had to. But especially legs. See aforementioned comment about centipedes. Seriously, never try using it on a house centipede. Ever.

    And it wasn't mine.
