+ Full Rep for help! What is best way to make copies of protected DVDs?

A friend of mine at work needed me to make 5 copies of this wedding DVD to send back home to mexico. I didn't think he spent the money on some professional recording but he did. So now the DVD is actually protected to keep from breaching any copyright laws and such... yada yada yada.

Basically if anyone can point me in the right direction on how to make a copy of his disk please let me know. +Full Rep to anyone how can do this for me.

I honestly dont think I will play the whole 4 hour wedding footage and have a program recording my screen lol. So please lets not do talk about that option. Because its not an option at this point. Thanks!

    Have you tried Handbrake?

^ Says "DVDFab HD" is free if you just want to decrypt copyright protection and rip.

I have read the 2 links u sent me. One of them states at the bottom people are using AnyDVD to read and then HandBrake to convert to whatever format.

I am testing this now. I just hope to god that I don't fuck up his wedding DVD in the end ya know? I would feel like a complete douche.

Well... HandBrake is now.. doing something? LoL! I selected a source(the DVD), chose a destination(My documents) it is doing it in MP4 format I am assuming this is correct. Time remaining... 1:05:00 so we will see how this goes I guess. Dam I hope this works. Damn his big ass 4 hour long wedding video. Idk if I can even put this on the freakin DVD-Rs that I got.

Did you use another program to try to rip it before and fail to get it to work, or did you think it was copyright protected because your friend told you he had it professionally done? From that text file it sounds like there was no protection on the DVD at all. Hope everything works out!
