Question Drawing Tablet, which one to choose?

I've been thinking about polishing my rusty drawing skills and buying a drawing tablet for my computer, but since it's been some years since I last drew on the computer I'm completely out of the loop on which tablets are currently popular. Back in the day I had a small one from Wacom and it got the job done, but I'm sure there must be much better ones out there now.

Which ones do you recommend for a beginner? I'm looking for a somewhat small one as I don't have a lot of space, I would like it to be user-friendly and I want it to be supported by all major drawing programs.

Not looking to spend more than around 100 bucks.

    Any advice is appreciated!

You probably had a Wacom Bamboo?

Considering your budget, a Wacom Intuous is going to be your best option. They're small, but still large enough to be useful - and are basically the Bamboo rebranded. If you were up for spending more then the Intuous Pro are amazing.

But yeah, basically Wacom is the way to go - I personally wouldn't go with any other brand, though others here may have had a decent experience -shrug-

No, it wasn't definitely not a Bamboo as that wasn't invented yet at the time (circa 2002).

Thanks for your suggestion! Going to look the Intuos up at price comparison sites then.

Don't waste your time with bamboo. If you enjoy drawing enough, invest the extra $$ for an intuos. No matter who tells you bamboo is a good starting point, they're lying. LOL bamboo will make you hate drawing.

Wacom doesn't make Bamboo any more - it's just Intuous and Intuous Pro now.
Also, I've never had any issues with my bamboo other than it now being too small for my setup (4'x6' spread across three 1080p screens is just....not fun)

@(you need an account to see links) I'm also using a Bamboo tablet and I'm pretty satisfied by it.
@(you need an account to see links), Viacom is probably what you want to look at. Like the others said already, Intuous will probably fit your needs!

I have a Bamboo Pen and I'm really happy with it :3
You might want to try out something less expensive to find out your preferences so you could invest in more expensive ones later if you really want to.

I personally wouldn't fork the $$ for a Wacom when there is a more affordable and in my opinion better tablet. It's the Huion H610, my girlfriend uses and it hasn't had any problems. It's also wayyy cheaper. G'luck
I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy,
the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.
