I have another problem with my computer. +rep

Well, I have a compaq desktop this time. It's from 2004, so yes it's considered somewhat old. And it runs windows XP.
I was clearing some old files off my computer (like word docs & removed my internet explorer browser off it), and after that it told me to restart my computer.

I turn it back on in about 10 minutes, and the problem is that My computer is essentially stuck in a loop.
As in, I turn it on, and when it gets to the start screen, it just shuts down and restarts itself.
and it does this over.and over. and over.

Can I fix this at all?
I know it's just a desktop but Iv'e had this for a long time and so many memories and gah
and is it doing this because of the stuff I deleted, or is their no relation?

    +rep for useful awnsers.

While Im not sure myself I found this stuff about it, that seem like they might be relevant to your case.
    What SP are you using?

    Have you tried this?
After the next reboot, keep tapping the F8 key to see if you can access a
screen that has 'Last Known Good Configuration' as an option. Try that to
see if you can boot into Windows.
    Also found this.

hmmm, I tried the F8 thing back a while ago (my computer's been like this since March or April)
    and it never really helped.

Maybe you have installed a malware that does this function. You have to fix your startup programs.
