    Hacking for Dummies?

Whenever I click a link on neopets it directs me to (you need an account to see links) ... this is on firefox. What's going on here?

EDIT: Looks like it's fixed now. What happened here?

Generally automatic re-directs are a symptom of a virus, but if it's gone away that is really odd. It could be you picked up something and whatever security system you have just took awhile to clean it up. Hard to say really. If it was just neopets.com that caused the re-directs and no other website, then it's likely that someone was playing around with the site, and has nothing to do with your computer. Hard to tell.

Yes, that's exactly how it started for me.... I put on TOR with firefox and hit the logout button which redirected me. It stopped on its own but I wanted to be safe so I ended up trying out (you need an account to see links) which deleted a couple of strange files and also got rid of dead shortcuts. I still don't know what the issue was.
