If I need to wash very often I'll sometimes skip the shampoo in between days, warm water is fine and doesn't strip the oils away as harshly.

I actually feel like my hair looks the nicest a day or two after I wash it. It's at the perfect equilibrium between natural oil and cleanliness, and my hair still smells like flowers.
*sigh* I feel like I'm forced to do so because it's hot here and I sweat a lot and then I feel untidy after. :c

Every other day/every two days. The less you shampoo the less oil you produce. It may take your scalp up to a month to regulate sebum production but it'll calm down if you stop stripping it everyday :3

once or twice a week if i'm straightening it, at home I clip it up. I wash it more if i'll be using mousse because hair's supposed to be damp when you put it on

That is hilarious. I wash my hair twice a day. I have long hair and it is usually tangled when I wake up and I find it gross to go to bed without showering.

I wash it every two-three days. My hair is very very very curly, so washing it too often is really bad. If it's not a wash day, I'll just condition it.

You don't need to use shampoo everyday if you need to wash everyday, just skip the shampoo every other day :3 Warm water also actually washes away sebum (just not as completely as soap does), that's why they tell you not to wash your face with really hot water since it's bad for your skin, heheh.

    Don't do thatttt
I'm no expert on it but I'm pretty sure they formulate shampoos so that they affect the skin of our scalp differently than normal body soaps do. Also, if you're using shower gel I'm assuming you don't have a matching conditioner either, and you always need to condition your hair to restore its normal pH. My hair tends to get frizzy and even brittle if I don't condition after shampooing.
