    Replacing Laptop LCD

    Hey guys -

Figured I'd see if anyone had any advice on how to get a laptop screen repaired. I found a place that is charging 150-200 but I know it's probably easy and affordable to do it yourself. Has anyone does this? Is it worth the effort/cost to try to do it yourself or should you trust it with a pro?

I'm sure there are tutorials and stuff on this, but talking to someone with firsthand experience is always better.

I'm sort of in the same boat right now.
My fiance left her laptop on the floor by the bed, and I woke up this morning and stepped on it.
Cracked the LCD all to hell and back.
I was looking on ebay and found some new ones for pretty reasonable prices, but then when I called a few places to see how much they would charge, it was outrageous.
So I'd also like to see some info about this.
