    I'm scared.

I don't know why. For the last ~hour I've just been terrified.
I feel like something is watching me. I keep hearing bumps and crashes. But i am a rational human and know that it is just my neighbors (I live on the fourth floor of an apartment building and everyone is obnoxious).

It just came out of no where. I was fine until the moment my husband turned off the light and left to hang out with his friend. But now he's coming home because I literally cannot close my eyes for longer than a blink. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I AM SO IRRATIONALLY SCARED OUT OF NOWHERE.

    Help me

Aww Don't be afraid! No one's going to bother you, and no one's going to risk trying to hurt you when the other tenants can hear it. Try turning on some music or watching a movie to distract yourself?

    Sudden, random panic attack?

It does happen, possible cause by hormone/neurotransmitter over-release/blockage.
The cause is inexplicable really, it's just one of those things in life, like lucid dreams and brief morning paralysis.

Have you been eating/drinking differently? Drugs? Maybe it's your body in response to the sudden workouts, anything.

It should pass by morning. In the off-chance it doesn't, seek medical help before you cut yourself or something.

    ---

    Remedies for you now?

All lights on, clutch a knife/baseball bat, make sure the doors/windows are locked, sit comfortably in a safe room, and drink water.
    ^Psychological remedy.

Oh yeah, and think of JB. He's fearless. He's fear itself.

It's not a panic attack, I've been having those for years so I know what they feel like. This is... different. Just sheer terror.
I'm on prednisone, but I've been on that for almost a month and this has never happened.

Also it's not like I'm scared someone is going to break in. More like someone/someTHING is already in here with me. U KNOW LIKE MY APARTMENT IS HAUNTED OR SOMETHING

but like i said i'm rational, and i've lived here for almost a year and have never been scared like this. Not even when my husband was out of town for two months.

dw i won't go cut myself bc lolol pain nty. I harm myself enough on accident to need to do it on purpose.

Although at the moment my arms look like I have been, I can assure you I have never done meth in my life.
