This theory has been confirmed to be working.
Hi, sorry if this has been asked before...I have tried to find a straight answer on this but have not had any luck.
Say a user completes NQI on Account A with Pet X. The NQI stats technically attach to Pet X since they are the active.
So, what if this user transfers Pet X to Account B, and starts NQI on that account now? Since Pet X has the stats for NQI, couldn't Account B quickly and easily obtain the avatar and/or trophy?
Basically, any pet that is an active during the tenure of NQI can be considered as an "avatar pet," correct?
According to JN:
Has anyone tested this theory?NeoQuest games are tied to the Neopet, not to the account. Therefore, transferring your NeoQuest-playing pet to a side should be fine, so long as you transfer the pet back to your main account before playing NeoQuest with him or her again. The only time a NeoQuest game will be deleted will be when it remains untouched for a year or more. However, don't try this with NeoQuest II - that game is not tied to the pet.
This theory has been confirmed to be working.

No because if user B starts a new game with the pet A gave him, the stats would be erased.
But user A can play until the avatar part (not getting it), transfer to B and B will be able to get it.

Exactly, if they have gotten the avatar or the trophy it's useless.
But that will work, I once played the game for me, then played again on Evil, stopped just before giving Erick the gem and lent my friend who needed the avatar, he then returned me the pet and I got the trophy.
