Two people I know in real life had surgery to lose weight. They were both over 250lbs themselves (females) and although it looks like the surgery worked and they are doing good, there are side effects. One of them is always talking about how her stomach hurts every time I see her.
If I was not happy with my weight, I would start running every day and have a better diet. Eat healthier and run. Even if you run a little bit at first, it will get easier for you and you will notice a change. You'll be happier this way - naturally.
