As long as the account doesn't get limited, you can send/receive funds.
Mine got limited and I only had $15 there too. <.<
I would just be using it for small purchases, maybe keep up to $25 on it at a time. I understand there's a limit to how much you can spend or have, or something, but it wouldn't prevent me from using it otherwise, right?

Speaking of paypal, I have a popular e-mail address and I made a paypal (never used it or verified it). Someone just randomly sent me $25. o-o

When your account gets limited, you can't send funds
To get the limitation removed, you'll have to provide proof of your credit card/address. (I think, that's what mine says, but it's because I used made-up info. xD)
I'm going to talk to my mom about a "Student Paypal"... I'm more interested in sending money, she can receive the money for me. Also, you get a card to buy things in real life and I won't have to pester her about owing me money.
My husbands paypal account has never been verified and I've never had a problem when using it :o
Unverified means that paypal has no bank account attached to the account. If you talk to people who have to deal with paypal on a daily basis you'll find that many people view the paypal company very similarly to how many people here view TNT. In this analogy, limiting is like freezing. Paypal can do it at any time for any reason and essentially it means that your money is simply gone, but like the neopets ticket system you can try to get it back by submitting info. You should be careful using your mom's account to receive money because that's the "dangerous" part of transactions here due to chargebacks.
Yeah, I try to be extra careful with receiving money. That's why I want my own. Interesting on people's views of paypal company.
fuck, i hate paypal so much. they're 10x worse than TNT because they can pretty much do anything to forcefully grab money off of you. they've probably made $50 off of me in "fees" because of a bounced e-cheque i had. i don't understand why they needed to charge an extra 40$ on top of that but they'll do anything to get your money. the fact that they keep my money for 8-10 days for "clearance" while they make interest off of it is enough evidence. i can't stand them.
As long as you don't do large amounts of money you will be fine. $25 should be fine.
I had trouble with mine once I reached the $2.5k sending limit. Luckily I got the limit raised and became verified recently because I have like 3.5k in there now that would take forever to get out ($500 checks/month -_-)
But for $25-50, even $10", an unverified account would be fine!
What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left
