Because every Marvel movie is related, it's a huge involved franchise. The Hulk had a scene with Iron Man after the credits.

They've had all of these movies planned out for quite some time. There are tons of Avengers references in the other movies before The Avengers even came out. (SHIELD was referenced a few time) ^_^
