Why ignore though? I've never understood why people totally ignore new members. It's not that easy to get used to the way things work and getting ignored can be frustrating. I know they want a lend or whatever, just say no. It doesn't hurt anyone If they bug you after that, by all means tell them to go fornicate a sheep. But may as well treat people who are just coming into the game nicely, more active members never killed anyone.

I've already talked to them before. And this was like 4 mails in 15 min. o.o
I lent them before and that they got frozen (of their own fault, they said), and then he asked for a free lend and kept badgering me. I'm not comfortable lending someone who so carelessly gets their account frozen (what he said he did was just such a glaring no-no.) And since he kept irritating me, I was just done.
And you ignored me when I was practically throwing money at you when I was a newbie.
edit: just remembered, he paid me in an NC card ($15 (Mexico), I discounted from when my lends were $25) and it was simply a $10 card. I didn't say anything but that really irritated me too.

I'm inclined to agree, but as a new member myself who joined barely two weeks ago I hardly feel I was ignored at all. I think the issue here is that some newbies seem to be getting a little ahead of themselves. When introducing yourself to a new community the last thing anyone should do is come off as needy or impatient. As much as they might want a lend any reasonable person should realize these items are worth quite a lot and that no one's going to want to lend to anyone who isn't somewhat known and trusted already.
I do completely agree that responding politely saying no to their first message rather than ignoring their request completely is the most courteous thing to do. It seems like shadow's being continuously badgered though. xD

yeah, i probably screwed that up, and that's on me. But, it's way better to make people feel encouraged about being here.

Never hurts to let them know that what they're doing isn't common or accepted though. Everyone goes about being new their own way.
