Best (free) way to get traffic to my site?

I'm running a couple blogs and need some traffic coming through. Anyone have any tips?

There are services where you pay a nominal sum (<$10) and get about 500+ web traffic, thought it was rather worth it. It'll raise your ranking on google, for sure.

First of all, start with sites that have A LOT of traffic. Use facebook, twitter, google + or something like that to share your posts and promote your blogs. That way, you are more likely to get people to spread word about your blog. It takes time though, so be patient.

A great design helps sometimes! If your blog is visually appealing, it is most likely to convince viewers to join.
