It's okay to be confused, we had a way of cracking birthdays, but it got patched because too many people knew of it. You never appreciate what you have until it's gone. Better not to risk stuff.

While it certainly doesn't help to have many people aware of the methods, it was not patched because "too many people knew". It got patched because raredaredevil sent a ticket specifically about the cracking method to TNT. He also found the method on his own so it would have been patched regardless of how many people knew about it.

I believe he sent the ticket BECAUSE of how many people knew.
