I didn't know where to put this since I didn't see a ' news' section...
The cardinals have voted on a new pope, Argentinian Jorge Mario Bergoglio
He has chosen the name Pope Francis the first

It's not going to be the Canadian pope, I don't think they were anywhere near in top choices
Last I saw it was either one from Africa or the Asian cardinal!

I don't know about that, I've heard that the Canadian cardinal is considered a front runner.

Of course you would hear that from a Canadian news page lol

There really was no frontrunner, the church was pretty divided.
I'm actually a little shocked that it didn't take longer to elect a new pope.

Lol I agree that was a little biased being a Canadian news page, sorry hahaha

But I agree with you, I thought this would take much longer than two days

He does have a twitter, the previous popes twitter had been disabled after he resigned, and like two minutes before they revealed the new pope that twitter account was reactivated. On the news they were saying that they pretty much gave away who the new pope was since there were only a couple who were avid tweeters, and Pope Francis was one of them.
Way to run with the times new pope! I think it speaks volumes for the changes that have occurred in the papacy in the past few years

Actually it is Franciscus I. He is born in Argentinia, but from Italian immigrant parents.
A pope that lived in an appartment instead of a palace, had no car and went with public traffic.
Always fought for the poor and washed the feet of aids patients with his bair hands. A sign I actually appreciate very much.
I think this man will be quite good for the Vatican.

A sad, crude, twisted little girl.
