Buy some "Neowart Fungus" asap! (and critical plot info!)

The 3rd wave of the plot is out now, the challenger "Nefarious Plotter" uses Poison Tipped Dagger, which can infect your pet with Neowarts (cured at the Springs or Neowart Fungus).

Buy at least 1 if you want to fight Nefarious Plotter, buy more to invest (if it's still cheap)!

If you do not have any Neowart Fungus, DO NOT challenge Nefarious Plotter! There is also a random faction challenge that may appear soon after you begin battling, which must be completed in a time limit of 'x' minutes (you must beat a challenger they tell you) - thus if your pet is sick and cannot be cured in time, you lose the challenge!

I just stocked up a bunch and saw the price rise from 1k to 2.5k within 5 minutes, which is astounding for an r25 item! I was literally fighting hordes of other resellers, half the shops I loaded had the item bought out under me by under a second (or saw stocks of 10+ dwindle in ~2 seconds).

EDIT: I suggest fighting Nefarious Plotter at least once (or fighting him last, so you can have ample time to hit the Springs until you are cured), as I do not know if not fighting a challenger at all may impact your final plot participation. However, you can get away by never fighting him if you so wish.
