I think the amount of np you were given and the level of your trophy were based on how many faerie abilities you had on your pets and how much bd participation you had before the new bd was released.
I got 32k nps and had 32 faerie abilities on my active pet so I assumed that it was a 1k bonus for each ability. Could be wrong about that tho
