How safe is it for securing accounts and protecting your IP?

Don't really need to use a VPN for securing accounts and protecting your IP but if you feel that having encryption is necessary then I would look more towards HMA VPN. If you're planning on using the free service that is provided by this company you may be interested to know the following:
Yes, there is a 30 MINUTE TIME LIMIT per vpn connection, and outbound email (SMTP) is blocked. Once you have been connected for 30 minutes, the VPN server will automatically disconnect the VPN tunnel. You will need to WAIT 30 minutes & manually reestablish your VPN connection if you wish to continue to use the Free VPN service. Our PRO VPN accounts with a 7 day free trial have no time limits and the SMTP port (outbound email) is fully open.
So basically if you're using any programs, then after 30 minutes the VPN connection will drop and you won't be able to use the VPN for another 30 minutes. Any connection information sent during that waiting 30 minute window would come from you original IP and thus not be protected. I still say elite proxies are the way to go, but I understand the ease-of-use factor of a VPN. Note that on most VPN services, your IP will change just about everytime you connect to the VPN and so Neopets will see a different IP each time, unless you manage to cycle through enough connections to obtain your original VPN IP.

HMA sucks. If you're looking for a free VPN, get hotspotshield or ProXpn, or hell, both. They're free.
