It's too early to say (and compile an item list) if there's anything worth trying for, but frees are still frees!

In the meantime while someone is writing something sexy, if you want to capitalize on the free digs I suggest the following:

1) Download iMacro for firefox
2) Create a macro by clicking Record
3) Click Stop
4) Go to the edit tab
5) Make sure #Current.iim is selected and click "Edit Macro"
6) Paste the following:

VERSION BUILD=7601105 RECORDER=FX
URL GOTO=http://www.neopets.com/prehistoric/outskirts/index.phtml

7) Save and click Play (Loop) Make sure you set your Max: to however many times you want this to run. 96 = 24 hours


You'll need to do all other browsing in a different window, not a different tab otherwise it will reset whatever you're doing (rather inconveniently). What this is doing is simply clicking the dig button, waiting 900 seconds (15 minutes) and doing it again. Crude, but it gets the job done until someone that does better programming comes along and creates a greasemonkey script or program.

Leaving this open for 24 hours would result in gaining 96 items.

So apparently they cap it. It looks like 19 items is what I ended up with before being capped. Maybe it's supposed to be 20 but I only had 19 in my inventory.
