Evolution has been proven. There shouldn't be a debate about whether or not evolution is true.

Now, if the question is whether or not a god started the process, that question is unanswerable. I firmly believe the Christian god of the Bible isn't real (the Bible is too filled with inconsistencies, hypocrisies, outdated laws, and downright demonic stuff), but it's always "possible" that there is some greater entity above us. We'll never be able to disprove it. In my personal life, nothing has happened that hasn't been explained by either science or coincidence, so I have no reason to believe in a god. Science is constantly answering questions that were previously thought to be unanswerable. I don't believe there is anything that science cannot explain, it's simply a matter of how fast we can be to get to all the answers.

Evolution, its something that has evidence. Thats why I am an atheist. I don't believe in what I cannot see and cannot be proven.

    Creationism or evolution?

    How about:

(you need an account to see links)

Although evolution was proven.. there is a missing link in human evolution.

On this topic, I just wish that Atheism could be more widely accepted in society... I've hinted to my family before that I'm Atheist and every single time they get extremely offended. I feel like Creationism indoctrinates beliefs in people from a young age, often without their consent to become a member of a certain religion so they really don't have a personal say in the matter until they're old enough to form their own beliefs. Then if they do try to become Atheist or Agnostic, they are often looked down upon by the members of their religious affiliation. So society is really just pushing Creationism onto everyone and making it seem bad to not believe in a god, which I feel is extremely wrong. Also, there is plenty of discrimination in the workplace, school, home life, etc. against anyone who doesn't believe in god. Creationism is based on fate, with no data that suggests religious occurrences are real per se. On the other hand, there is replicable data to support evolution.

I like this video, but I think that some the guy's points are invalid: time, days, et cetera accommodate man. Time duration is different on different planets...
