Has this ever happened to you?

I simply changed the e-mails on two neopets accounts and they were frozen for suspiciousness... weird. All I did was change the e-mail, and I doubt that the user checked on their e-mails. I used proxies and everything -_- Lost about 6m NPS from that...

How soon after the email changes were the accounts frozen? Inactive or active accounts?

An active account. They were last seen 3 days ago and they had a basic layout, basic pets, they were just a kid. Don't think they'd be that smart and report or anything, and the e-mail was changed last night and they were frozen 2 hours later.

    1. Possible they detected you going in under an unknown IP for the first time; if you changed the PW in the first instance of logging in under that IP, might be autoflagged for investigation.

    2. If you and the owner have both been accessing the account periodically within a short time period, it may have also been autoflagged the moment you touched the PW.

    3. If the proxy you used was public and from a well-known proxy site, possible it's already been used and blacklisted previously.

Hmm, interesting. I didn't change the PW, but perhaps we did both access it.

Oops, I meant to say email.

But it's the same if you modify the email or PW, any info changes that would be used to secure an account.
