[ONLINE] Emulator or Real Thing? (Pokemon)

Hey! Just asking everyone if you use an emulator or the real console for a game Personally, I do both. When I run out of money, I use emulators. Problem is how am I gonna find a 3DS Emulator. Please give me a link to one if you find one ; - ; Kaybaii

Have you heard of a Supercard DSTWO?
I used to own a DS (Traded it for a PSP a while ago) Owned most of the cards, and would recommend either AceKard, or DSTWO.
AceKard's cheaper, but the DSTWO is a lot more powerful.

No public 3DS emus yet. I prefer the real thing, simply because my computer sucks and lags when I try to play on emus xD But yeah, I use emus a lot now simply because monies ;x; I try to buy games that I like a lot just to support the company though.

The thing with 3DS emulators, is that the whole concept of 3D for most users will no be possible, as the majority of us don't have 3D compliant hardware ready to go.

Aside from that, yeah I'd say in about 2 years MAX, something should already be out there, hopefully not in beta though.

Finding developers is a problem, most of the time its a one man project and the internet pressures developers sometimes that they just choose to shelve the project.

IDK...I know it'll come eventually. For Android, they're still developing a decent NDS emulator.

    Time will tell.

Definitely the originals! I've tried to play emulators and it's just not the same experience whatsoever, it's a lot more drab to me. The added mods also ruin the games (again, for me). I know they're not mandatory to play emulators, but who can resist having Mew on their team? As fun as that is, it's still a lot better doing it the old school way in my opinion.
Nothing beats playing my Pokemon Yellow on my Yellow GBC from when I was like 6, that's for sure.

    Depends on the console!

For snes (zelda a link to the past anyone?) get a 10$ usb snes controller , stick a hdmi cable in your laptop / tv and set your pc to output to hdmi. Now you can play on tv with the original snes controller . Not to sure about hand helds from what I understand u can get a cheap ds and just stick a bunch of games on a sd card. Might be worth just doing that , these games are made to be portable and best played to kill time.

I did both. I used to have a real cartridge that I'd play normally on and occasionally go to Nintendo events with, but I'd also have an R4 or a Supercard for RNGing shinies/flawless Pokemon. It's much easier to create new .sav files to store extra Pokemon on when you're using a flashcard, though storing them on my comp was fine too. This was only for NDS games though, last I heard it the 3DS hasn't been out long enough for anyone to have been able to crack its encryption + make an emu. I haven't played any 3DS games yet. :c
