Hey, a while back I started this personal project, I decided to draw the original 151 pokemon in MS Paint... In 30x30 Pixels
Just for clarification, that is pretty damn small. I call these drawings "Pixelmon".
I'd love if you guys could check out my gallery of drawings so far and perphaps offer suggestions or changes I could make to improve their quality.
My gallery is on deviantart, hopefully I can link to that here. If not could a mod please tell me so I can try uploading all the images here?
This is an ongoing project and I'm not even halfway there yet, there will be new drawings up all the time.
They don't look like they take much time or effort but fitting a pokemon in such a small space is pretty damn difficult haha.
Haha, Raichu and Pikachu look like they're on crack!
They look awesome really. If I wanted to be nitpicky, I would offer these 2 suggestions:
-A lot of them are of the same pose, which is standing and facing straight at you. Maybe switch up the stances, or have them in one showing them in an attack pose.
-Consider some shadow-shading to add more detail if the pixelmon has space. But it's not important tbh.
@(you need an account to see links) Generally when the pokemon is standing and facing straight towards you it means that they were too difficult to do in other poses due to detail
I will try switch up the stances when I can and I love the attack pose suggestion, I will definitely try that one.
I've started messing around with shadow shading lately on a few and I'll do as much as I can because usually it makes them look better.
Raichu and Pikachu were some of the first ones I did haha, I did them before I started doing them in order and I had to wait ages to upload them, how do you think I could fix them?
The lack of space is usually due to the evolution requiring more space and I need to show growth
I think the Raichu and Pikachu ones are funny, I wouldn't change them. If you're insistent on *fixing* them, I suppose adding a v2 of them would work, or renaming crack-Pika/Rai to something else.
^Again, maybe changing them to an attack pose, or if you can make .gifs, even something simple like flashing electric sparks off their tails or cheeks, maybe some winking, etc.
Well I can actually edit the files and remove the originals, I'll always have the originals saved somewhere.
I might try and use these to make a super tiny primitive pokemon game, if so I won't be doing any animation on the images except for the attack animations.
Regardless maybe making some animated gifs would be fun, I'll give it a go
@(you need an account to see links) Yeah they all take a while Originally I thought I'd be done with every Pokemon in like 2 weeks...
I'm happy you like the Clefable, those damn wings and that tail made me rage so hard, so annoying haha.
