You can turn the 3D effect off on your 3DS I BELIEVE

^ That is correct! There is a slider on the side to control the 3D and let me say, the only time I use it is to look at certain pretty still images. Definitely a huge headache during game play. You have to sit completely still or the 3D will distort itself due to angle.

But on the topic of this game, the starters are a little disappointing as always The frog is stupid (well it's kind of cute...but stupid..) and the grass starter reminds of a cross between a bidoof and a parichisu (sp). So I will be going with the fire type! I hope the second evolution for it won't be insanely weak. I hope they have better designs than black/white >.<
