How to run the Habi Bot on your Android Device
This guide will teach you how to run the Habi Bot on your Android Device.
I am not responsible for any damages incurred to your phone. Although if you break something during this process, you probably deserve it.
What you need:
- Habi Bot
- Android Device
- USB Cable for the device.
Step 1) Allowing your phone to install apps from unknown sources
To be able to install the packages needed for this, you will need to allow your phone to be able to install packages from unknown sources.
To do so, go to
Settings>Security and check the box that allows this.
Step 2) Downloading the apps
On your Android device, go to the browser and navigate to:
http://code.google.com/p/android-scripting
You should see a giant QR Code that looks like this:
Click it to download the first app you need, which is called Scripting Language 4 Android (SL4A).
Then, on the left side of the navigation for this site, click on the link that says "
(you need an account to see links)" Download this also.
When both have finished downloading, install them.
Step 3) Enabling Python and getting the Habi Script onto your phone.
Open the "Python For Android" app and press Install. Once it is done, close the app.
Now, you will need to get the apps onto your phone.
The easiest way to do this is to plug your phone up to your Windows computer and drag and drop the files into the directory:
C:/PHONENAMEHERE/sl4a/scripts/habi
You should edit the files with your username and password BEFORE Transferring, because it's hard to type on a tiny phone screen.
Step 4) Running the script(s)
Open the SL4A app you previously downloaded and you should see your "habi" folder. Open it and find the "client.py" script. If you have already entered the account information, then just click it and press the icon that looks like a Terminal (little black box).
If you haven't, click the pencil icon and enter the account information.
That should do it
