You can get the domain for like $5 a year.
Hosting you can get for around $5-10 a month depending on your requirements.
Then if you want e-mail addresses for your domain that's extra.
Hey guys, I'm thinking of setting up a website to try my hand at some business (It'll be nothing to do with neo though). What I'm asking is, say I registered a site at (you need an account to see links), I'm paying around $180 for 3 years of my domain. Is that all the costs I have to pay for setting up a site? Or is the $180 purely registering a domain and I'll still need to pay for a server? Thanks for clearing things up!

@(you need an account to see links), UGH blue host
It includes the hosting but you have to deal with their freaking cPanel. Good luck -_-
I pay $10 for domains (generally .com, though I own a more expensive .nu)
and $36.21 /yr for hosting
That's $46.21/yr, 138.63 for 3 years. This does not include any coupon codes for hosting or domains though.

What do you think is the most user friendly host? Oh and if I decide to use (you need an account to see links) for hosting, the server will be in canada right? My target audience is actually all the way in asia, does it affect anything? Sorry I'm a little noob

From what I think, it won't affect anything.
You don't have to use levelhosting, you could do a bit of research and compare prices, plans, and see if they have coupons. (If you use levelhosting I suggest you google levelhosting 50% off forever coupon or something)
What do you mean by user friendly? Most hosts I've used use cPanel, if thats what you mean?

cPanel is actually pretty easy to use. You shouldn't need it for much. Use FTP for your file editing and use the cPanel mysql for databases.
You won't need it for much of anything else.
I use fatcow.com they use a custom panel.
