They were just too good to put down, imo. Lol. My cousins watched the movie, but didn't /watch/ it. They half-assed did, and were confused af.
I had to explain a lot to them, then they got it. Without the books, it's not very easy to understand.

I made @(you need an account to see links) watch it with me and she doesn't even like movies but she really liked it! She had me there to explain the subtleties though.

Mhm! Like I said, it's pretty hard to catch on to all the nuances if you've never read the books. I think theycould have done better with that for sure, but I still love the movie so much. I think they geared it more towards people who have already read the books though, at least that's what it seemed like. A lot was left up to guesswork otherwise.

Haha, they waited until after we finished it, and were like, "WTF did we just watch?" Apparently the only thing my cousin caught was that the bird was important, because she saw it on the case. *facepalm*

    ...Wow, okay. So disappoint. :C

For me, The Hunger Games is like Harry Potter (not as high up there, but still pretty high), in the sense that I know a lot about it and will rant and rant about it forever and I get really butthurt when people say they don't like it. :C

I still haven't read or seen it. I never like seeing movies before the books though. When I see the movies first, it just kills the books for me :/

Read the books then! I read them online via a PDF. I could try to send them to you if I can find them.

I've been meaning to. This semester, I've literally had like no life. I haven't had time to sit and read. I never manage to find things online like that 0.o
If I can't find something, I might ask this girl I worked with if I can borrow hers to read. I could probably get them all read before January.
