So I try to log in yesterday and to my surprise I get the dreaded message all of us here know so well:

This account was attempting to scam other users out of items, Neopoints, Neopets, or their accounts.
Also, (paraphrasing here) if you think this was done in error, please contact us -here- so your message can get thrown in the virutal abyss, never to receive a response.

Rest in peace, main. You were a good main and shall be missed. =_=

I have a pretty good idea of why it happened, and I feel like an idiot for not being more careful. Neo has gotten so small (gee, I wonder why) that one false step can get you iced. A word to those of you who don't have much experience yet.... USE PROXIES! They are your best friend. Really. <3

Not a big deal though; this is definitely not the first time I've been iced and I'd be foolish to think it'll be the last.... in the end it's just a game. ^_^


BUT I guess this means I *might* be in the market for another main. Not looking for anything too schmancy, just the following minimums:

Legit or very well secured
Decent username, nothing masculine
At least 3 years old (older is better)
220+avs (retired ones = love)
4+ site themes
10mill + in the bank
A few retired site event trophies would be nice...
I don't care too much about game trophies since I prefer to earn them myself.

I'm going to post this in the trades board as well of course, but if you happen to stumble upon this thread and you have what I'm looking for, message me! I might just buy the account from you! I'm not completely sure though, I've kind of had my eyes on some very nice, very /expensive/ boots and I might go buy those instead. If I do, I'll be on a Ramen diet till payday.

Had they iced me after winter break I probably would have just quit. This coming semester is going to be so brutal I doubt I'd have much time for Neo anyway.

In a nutshell, I bought two aged shells for personal use and turned them into my side accounts, and I didn't use a proxy.
Completely my fault.... my silly reasoning was that since it was just two accounts with hardly anything on them, it wouldn't hit TNT's 'radar'
I hardly logged into them except to zap a pet every now and then, but I guess that was enough for them to catch on.... D:

Yup! Since I used the same IP to log onto those shells and my main, both the shells and my main were frozen. When I try to log onto the shells, I get the following:

"This (possibly previously inactive) account was being accessed by someone other than the original creator due to its easily guessable password."

Funny thing is, I had two other side accounts that I made myself, and those are still intact.

Can't be said enough, use proxies or else the worst happens. Starting over does have a certain appeal to it, though.

It's bittersweet. A blank canvas is fun, but you tend to get attached to your silly little pixels so it's a little sad, too.
But yes. PROXIES.
I'd never used one before and they seemed like a lot of hassle for something so small. Basically I was being lazy.
I guess that showed me. xD

damn:/ . i got iced a few days ago. for "possibly selling pets for nps" got me pissed and sad at the same time. it was my main haha.
