    PayPal Gift vs. Western Union?

Forgive me if this has been answered before,

I'm wondering why some of sellers only accept WU (esp. for newer members), isn't PP Gift also non-disputable?

nah, you can claim paypal gift was as a charge that the owner did not confirm. This results in a dispute. Since we deal with virtual goods, these disputes are typically more difficult for the seller to win. Therefore people go with the un-cb-able wu.

Paypal gift is completely disputable, it's just a smidgen harder because you really only have like, one choice to dispute it with, but it's still totally chargebackable.

Paypal Gift, in my opinion, is relatively safe. You can still get charged back, but in my experiences, the seller (me) always wins. However, I had a friend about a year ago who was CB'd by somebody who sent the money with Gift, and while my friend won, his account got limited, and he was then forced to provide information on his past transactions, which he was unable to do because he was dealing with virtual items.

Western Union, on the other hand, is the safest way to go. You can't get charged back. I've seen threads on other forums explaining that WU has footage of people picking up their money, so if anything happens, you can use that to your advantage.

I personally like to use Paypal, simply because it's easy and instant. Plus, the nearest WU booth is about a 30 minute drive away, and I don't have that kind of spare time. On top of that, I never make big transactions anyway, and that's the thing; lots of people use WU when it comes to the bigger transactions, lol.

I've seen some people easily dispute paypal gift, as long as you know how to work the system. Paypal is faster for smaller transactions, but sometimes if you're not paying attention, they can add up. There have been an incident or two of people using stolen paypals and credit card information, and then paypal tacks on that stupid $20 fee per dispute to "investigate" it in addition to you losing that money.

If you're doing large transactions, especially with an unknown user Western Union is safer. When they go to send the money, there is no way to chargeback, and you have tracking information for the money. However, it also involves giving your ID name and city to the other party, which may not be comfortable for some people.

For people who don't like WU but require it for a transaction, there are a few people who can do a PP to WU transfer or vice versa.

CBd for $5 and $10, so not even small transactions are safe. Called customer resolution service and everything both times and still lost, although they did refund my $20 resolution fees.
