    Avast is really good though.

Just whatever you do, don't even consider getting Norton or Kaspersky. I used to have Kaspersky and it was the biggest memory hog program I've EVER had. And Norton gives you more viruses than destroys/blocks them.

Ive got norton, and havent had a problem. I might not pay for it but it is an extra license that comes with my parents cable package from comcast. It has only ever been a pain when I've tried downloading updates for some games that are new but I just turn it off till the patch/update is downloaded/installed.

Avast, and knowing not to mindlessly open .exe files. The second thing is more helpful than any virus / spyware program.

I dont use any they all piss me off and start blocking my hacking tools or start installing browser addons that slow shit down. In my opinion there to easy to byass (just write a a detected virus then comment out the code line by line till you find whats detected and change it). Not worth the cpu resources.

I've been using Norton since day 1 and haven't had a single problem

^ It's not that norton is working good and keeping viruses out ur pc , it just wouldn't detect them if they was there anyway lol.

Seriously though Norton has (had) a bad rep , I remember scanning netbus 1.7 (A very popular trojan) with norton in about 2002 and it was not detected. I have never used that program since though im sure its much better these days.
