oh yes, i actually do go to the animal shelter often because i love looking! i want to volunteer but i'm kind of scared of dogs so.. :/
i would rather adopt but i've asked a lot of my cat owner friends and they say to buy from the pet store..
so i don't know what to do D:

I've looked on craigslist but the cats for sale around my area are all like.. old.....
And when I do find some cute kitties, they never have their shots and it's so expensive to get them done!
The ones at big pet stores already have their shots, so I just want to be safe and buy one of those.

Even if they do need shots, google around and see if there's any non-for-profit organizations in your area that can do the shots based off of your income. That's what I did, cost 50 dollars to get all of her shots and to get her fixed.

Don't buy from pet stores....... Cats from pet stores typically come from Backyard Breeders, and it's shameful that they would raise a cat in those conditions Also, don't forget that cats cost around $100-$300 per year, so you do need money to properly take care of a cat. I would suggest getting from a shelter, a kill shelter, try to adopt the cats/kittens that are going to be put down soon :/ Better to save a life of an adult cat than adopt a kitten that has 20+ adopters interested.....
