new members sp[am=to rank up and possibly scam people because they have a decent rank, old members spamming=to chat and carry on with other old members. not to get their post count up

I wouldn't consider getting a rank after 50 points "decent". And old members spam to get their post counts up as well. Do you honestly think, that after saying "Welcome to clraik!" hundreds of times there's still tons of actual joy behind seeing new members? Or are they doing it because of the habit?

some are doing it out of habit, and some are doing to try and show we are a welcoming forum, and yeah, some are doing it for the posts, all of which can be remedied by simply turning the posts off in that section............

intro section welcoming posts are on topic, thats the point. its when you post shit like good luck selling on trade boards to blatantly bump. Either way there are like 30 boards where you can post to raise post count without spamming. AKA the what song are you listening to board.

I consider "What song are you listening to" spam. You can pretty much get 25 posts/hour if you pair up with someone to listen to music all the time and post your songs. It's on topic, so not spam.
