BBC Sherlock is EXCELLENT. The movies with RDJ are pretty good, too!
If you like lots of people dying and blood and stuff personally I really liked Taratino's Django Unchained, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.

If you liked Avengers, Joss Whedon's most awesome brainchild ever was the TV show Firefly which was totally awesome and flawless and only has one season and a follow-up movie so it's a pretty quick watch.
