    Got scammed

    Not cK/neopets related

So a few months ago, my brother financed a car through a dealership in Delaware
    A 7 Series Beemer worth 110k retail
Everything goes great, they get the approval and the representative says he'll handle the registration for us and everything
We drive off with a temp registration 5 months ago and since then the car hasn't been registered, we can't drive it cos we don't have plates
It's literally sitting in my driveway collecting dust

They've been dicking us around for 5 months straight saying they're going to fedex us the information for us to register the car ourselves.
The reason they're refusing to register it?
First the guy says the loan was never approved.......
Now he wants to raise the APR......
Then he says he can't register it anymore because we moved from MD to CA........
So for the past 5 months we've been making payments for a car we don't even technically own........

This morning they said they were gonna email us the tracking number for the registration stuff because they just mailed it to us
Hours have gone by, no tracking number was emailed, they're not picking up our calls or dodging them altogether
So I've about fucking had it.
Im about to flood this cunts Yelp/Facebook/Twitter/Dealer site with bad reviews
If anybody is down to help, please let me know, will +rep

No idea how I can help you tbh, I'm dumb for this sort of thing. But if you need someone to spam em with negative reviews count me in, cause they sound absolutely scummy

I've seen similar cases when I worked with a public defender. Problem is that I'm not familiarized with U.S civil laws, otherwise I would know how to help.

Do you have the loan contract your brother signed? If not, at least in Brazil, you can use the e-mails/direct messages you had with dealership to prove that you got scammed before going to a court and asking for personal harassment (since it affected you and is giving you headaches) and for your money back. Not sure how this works on U.S.A tho, but maybe it would help to prove what you're talking about. Calling to the dealership, saying what happened and forcing them to admit it while recording the call would also help you to prove that they're acting in bad faith and that you're trying to solve the problem.

I would go to BBB or hire a lawyer for that situation

Edit: searched for your case and found the following:

    Maybe it will help you!

So my bf is a sales manager at a car dealership and he basically said to call the bank that you financed with. If the loan wasn't funded, then they shouldn't have been collecting any money from you. You can also register the car through your own dmv so long as you have the title but if the loan wasn't approved, then the title should still be in their hands.

It's the dealership's responsibility to get the loan approved but because it's been 5 months, you shouldn't be obligated to pay for the car anyway. So something smells hella fishy. Some dumbass salesperson fucked it up and let a customer drive off with a 100k car without ensuring the loan was approved and now they're backtracking it, trying to make you look responsible for it

Also am down to fuck some shit up.
