Since you have sensitive skin get Aquafor... It's diaper rash ointment, but it heals tattoos amazingly.
Also, prepare for pain... but don't get too worked up.
Curious to see, read or hear about tattoos or tattoo plans. I'll be getting my first one done on my 18th birthday. Getting "Permanent" (Real shocker) on my right hip. Any suggestions for care or pain? Will post a photo when it is done.
My Tattoo:
Will be getting personality in a month on my left hip

I'm going to get Hobbes on my shoulder blade after my visa application gets approved. As sort of a victory thing.
For anyone who doesn't know hobbes...

I'm not too worried as I have a generally high pain tolerance but, you never know. This will be my first.
They don't hurt. I love the feeling of it as do a lot of people (hence the tatoo addiction).
But getting Permanent? You will regret that. Find something with meaning: hobbies, music, family, religion.
I'd avoid words at first.
And get the orange anti bacterial Dial hand soap to wash it morning, noon (optional), and night. Right after washing, pat dry and put on thin layer of aquaphor (cvs/drug store).
You don't want anything scented on it. After a week or so of aquaphor, switch to an unscented (normal) lotion and keep it moisturized.
If you pick at it, go tanning, or swimming you will probably experience ink loss.

my first tattoo was on my right hip.
the pain is kinda addictive, although it doesn't hurt much
but then again, i have a high pain threshold.
yeah, don't pick at it.
i always use e45 afterwards.
Should get your name done in cursive. Unless your name is permanent

I want a tattoo but I am very unsure of what to get. I sort of want the typical butterfly on the shoulder blade but I am not sure. If I had a child I would get their name and birth date on me...names in that sense as a tattoo are perfectly okay to me rather than your own name.

I won't regret it because the word has a lot of meaning for me, especially after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. The last 2 years of my life haven't been the greatest, being in and out of hospitals, not seeing friends, people dying .etc and no matter what I never changed who I was. I still did everything I could do, took no pity, and reminded people I'm not dying. So yeah I won't regret it.

Yeah I heard stuff like that helps, I will definitely do it. Also I have a pretty high pain tolerance as well. So I know it won't be that bad. If I cry, I cry but I won't be hollering or like throwing a temper tantrum.

That is pretty sweet not going to lie. Are you getting it in color?
I have a dragon claw on my shoulder holding a eye ball thats on fire.... (first one I had). Then on the other arm ive got a tribal thing going on. Then on my back I have a big dragon from the mortal combat logo.
