Going back home today, the mini holidays with my mom in the resort have been great...

I worked the day shift at my gas station today, which I hadn't done since I was training in August last year (I always work night shift).
The customers were a lot more friendly than they are sometimes during the night shift, and it went a lot better than I was expecting!
10/10 would work again (and probably will)

Sorry about the heat! It's been -5 to -30F all winter and it's finally warming up to around 10F over here. Let's switch out, I'd love to be back in warm weather.

Also, my fiance's been in town recently so it's been fantastic! she's staying back with her parents for a few months over our break (we're both students) but she's here now! And then in April we'll be getting married! So lot's of planning and everything to do, but it's so good to see her again.

I used to live in the U.K. and everyone was so shocked with how will I did with the cold. I've been in Australia for over 15 years now and I still can't climatize to this heat. Thank god for air conditioning. I visited Japan in winter and loved it!

I know what you mean, AC saves lives. I was living some place more humid and hot a couple years back and our postman ended up having a heatstroke while he was out.
I've heard that Australia can be hard to live in sometimes! Just pretty basic stuff about crazy wildlife. Any sick stories?

I live in a beachy town. Nothing too crazy happens here. As for wildlife it's a common occurance seeing dead kangaroos on the side of the road. There's a golf course on the way to my work that's full of them and they always end up on the main road at some point or another. While we have lots of snakes you hardly evers see any and most just go about their own. I think apart from last year you didn't have a single spider related death since the early 80s.
