I got approved for a grant from my college for a new computer and noise cancelling headphones! Excited to upgrade. I loved my sister's macbook when she got hers last year, and wanted to wait for this grant to go through before I got my own. Going to go with midnight, but can't decide on a case though!

Today my gym hosted a USAPL Powerlifting Meet and I went to support a friend who was competing for the first time. We joke that we're geriatric powerlifters because the gym is full of 20 something year olds and consider people who are 30+ to be super old lol. My gym friend did well! All his lifts were good and he got PRs for all 3 lifts (bench, squat, and deadlift). I'm considering competing next year now as a rite of passage kid of lol.

Doing my best to not be nervous about my multiple lumpectomy tomorrow morning. 😅
But no matter how many surgeries I've had, they're always kind of nerve-wracking. I'm just happy this is finally getting done, having to be your own health advocate is tiring.

Looking forward to recovery and getting all the other things in my life back on track. <3

Home and recovering from surgery, which went well! Hoping for a good pathology report.

Thankful for my hyperfixation on Neopets right now to keep me very entertained so I'm not too focused on the pain. :'D

Edit: like for real, I'm exhausted lol. I just find myself getting lonelier and more distant the more time I try to spend around people that I'm "supposed to" (and do) have a lot in common with. They're mirrors into myself, but somehow my own path just got so wrong along the way. I'm mad I didn't pick up certain hobbies, or do certain things a certain way, and idk I just get too wrapped up in my own head sometimes. I'm aware it's irrational... hopefully tomorrow brings a better outlook.

I went a little too hard on this trip trying to socialize, I think. After this whole thing is over, it's face mask and bubble bath time.

I had the best day in recent memory yesterday, took a vacation for the first time in like 2 years and went to a cabin with 8 of my friends. We drove around and went to a few different places, this coffee shop we went to had this cold brew/ chai combo that was out of this world. I felt happy for the first time in a while

Saw my shoulder specialist today - I've had decent improvement but he was hoping for more. I have another 6 week round of PT as well as steroid shots in my shoulder joint. >_< If that doesn't work I guess I'm in for yet another surgery this year. But at least the surgery I had last month came back with benign pathology reports! So I'm in the clear. 😊

But I'm keeping my head up - and I've decided to try and learn coding as a side job since I can't work my current one. Gotta stay positive in all this! 💖
