Yesterday it was hot - 38 degrees Celcius. It's a bit cooler today - it's going to be only 31 Even though it Sunday, I still got work to do The heat is not helping...
Good, spent it at my bf's, met a lot of his family (cousins/uncles), watched our country lose the soccer cup (boooo) but had a lot of great food and lovely conversations so it was alright.
Quite good! I finally learned how to swim today, after putting it off for years. I was always afraid of sinking--which made me tense up most of the time, meaning I really would sink. Now I know what to do when it inevitably floods in my area (rainy seasons are so exciting).
My parents started me into lessons at an early age, prompted (no doubt) by the pool in the backyard. And visiting the grandparents in Florida. (Not so much ocean/Gulf swimming as the heated pool in their park). And the fact that my father can't swim.
I learned at least the basic frontstroke in lessons; then, when I got to junior high gym class (and the pool was put into rotation), they taught us that, backstroke, back crawl, sidestroke and breaststroke. Never learned the butterfly, but since we didn't have a swim team, it wasn't necessary.
I'm on a double wild goose chase right now, and it's started to turn into stress stomachaches and tears. x_x
I recently went back to Walmart for my pharmacy because my new therapist is in my hometown instead of the area in which I used to go, and it's been a pita. (I previously used Walgreens for my happy pills and WM if I needed short term.) Their website and their pharmacy accounts are two separate entities, so while I have an active WM account to use, I couldn't access my prescription information, because it was attached to an email I couldn't get into so I could reset the password or close the account. (I tried the old trick of re-registering the email, but it says that the username is taken, and when I try to log into the account, gmail says it doesn't exist. >.<) It took them forever to finally agree to close the old site account so I could put my current prescription on my current account. (Doesn't matter that the last time I got antidepressants from them was 2012 or so--it was still attached to this old account.) I still haven't gotten the pharmacy option activated on my current account because they use those multiple choice identity questions like you see on financial sites and the site keeps claiming it can't verify me. I've been trying to contact customer service, but they keep giving me the run around--as they have thus far. Suddenly, I understand why everyone hates Walmart!
(I'd just give up and go to CVS, but they employ one of the biggest assholes in town, and one of the senior techs gave me a big old lecture after leaving--even though she knew I had mental health problems--so I try to stay away unless my father desperately needs something from there.)
)O(
I started with a new Medicaid provider at the beginning of the month--which wouldn't be so bad if I didn't need it for dental and vision. (Medicare only covers medical care, not that stuff.) It's the same provider I had in 2015, so you'd think it would be easy to switch back, right? Nope...my dental coverage is all mucked up and they can't figure out why.
(I can afford the $72 to get my teeth cleaned, but ignoring insurance problems won't fix them, either.)
Called from the receptionists' desk (at the dentist office) last week and the company gave me the exact same number the billing specialist already had in the system. So I said I'd call when I got my new card and we'd see what was what.
Got the card Saturday, called the dentist Monday..."Nope, you're still not active. Call your caseworker."
Emailed my caseworker..."You're fully activated with {company}. Call your dentist."
"They said to call you and figure out if I've been reactivated with {dental insurance} or {other company}."
"I'm only an eligibility specialist. Call Michigan Enrolls."
I didn't get a chance to call before I had to go to therapy yesterday, and by the time I got home, I was stuffing Burger King in my mouth because it was 5:33p and I was fucking hungry!
Good, my boyfriend came over and we spent all night and day together, it's also a rainy day so to cuddle while sleeping, listening to the sound of rain, was great. Tomorrow I have classes though so he left and didn't stay for another night. I'm lazy though so I probably won't study tonight and I'll play pokemon x till late.
