    Well I just want to say thanks for the thread, I finally took the time to check tor out properly today and cannot believe I didn't do it before. It's going to make life infinitely easier.

    Are there any risks or problems in using it or has everyone had smooth sailing?

    I don't know the exact technical details (so correct me if I'm wrong), but basically the program bounces you off other tor servers and you end up with a basically untraceable new IP address. It's the most effective program I've used, which is why it's so common and gets such rave reviews.
