If your laptop is still good, why not just upgrade the RAM?

Yes, @(you need an account to see links) is right. My Macbook Pro came with 4GB of ram. After I started using it more, It just wasn't cutting it to what I needed. So I bought 8GB of RAM for $60. Boom. Runs like new. If the computer itself is still good (decent processor, etc) then just upgrade the RAM.

Can you provide more details on your current computer?

That's exactly what I did. Upgraded to 8gb, bam like having a brand new laptop. Way cheaper than buying a new one too!

For a basic laptop, this is great all around. It's not going to be running anything on ultra settings or anything like that, but it will float you for pretty much anything else. As well, you can upgrade to 8gb ram if you care for it.
