Yes Melissa (mao_mau) passed away due to cancer

Onering was so nice, i did a few nc trades with her a very long time ago

I'm sorry, who is onering_ and how did everyone know she passed? May I please have her story? That's really depressing, I feel really bad.

She was a well known bd chatter a few years ago, who got quite sick and went inactive. Upon her long absence a group of her guild mates proceeded to do some research on her illness and found that she had passed away from cancer. She had a spectacular account with a gallery worth over 1b that has, up until now, remained untouched.

It's so weird looking through her account and messages on her guild forums... it's so weird. A normal neopets player. I would just look at her profile then go on with my life, not thinking twice. Man, it's depressing. She seemed very nice.

Mao_mau passed away too? Oh man, I remember her from the boards. How did people find out? It's strange how people discover this even though they were only neofriends. Very sad.

Sorry for another update, but man, I'm reading all the comments on mao_mau's deviantart and blog. It makes me sad about the amount on recognition she got on her other sites until now. Her last blog post really depressed me. As someone who had cancer in the past, I really related to her posts.

okay good cause id feel horrible if i ever got an account frozen that belonged to some that passed away. cause than there would be no one to submit a ticket and the account would just be gone that'd be terrible
