    3d movies

what do you guys think of 3d movies? I seen prometheus in 3d at the cinema the other day and thought it was crap. There was hardly any 3d parts in the film , before it they showed the new spiderman trailer wich had a crapton of 3d in. However for me the effect just looked blurry and hard to focus on. It did look slightly 3d but was more of an annoyance than anything else. Maybe its because I where glasses IRL?

Whats the effect like for you guys do you find it just gimmicky?

^Well, not really. It's just a more enhanced vision..

But if you wanna experience a nice 3D movie you have to watch the right ones, like Avatar. You should watch Spiderman when it comes out.

    Life is the real 3D...

And Avatar was pretty flipping awesome in 3D. I almost peed my pants.

i just meant that imax has some of the best 3d around. If you have ever seen any of the imaxs about space, you know what i'm talking about.

Imax? I seen something called "real 3d" maybe the u.k ripoff version? Cost me an arm and a leg too apparently it was a "deluxe" theater witch just translated too not being as cramped as the normal one :/.

The best real 3d movie was one of the first and that was monster vs. aliens. Shit was amazing.
Some movies are okay but some shouldn't even be thought of being made into 3d. At least they are still making a 2d version, but only for big theaters. In my small town our theater only plays 3 movies at a time. Its always the 3d version :/

Only movie I liked in 3d was "Avatar".

Everything else was crap for 3d. Majority of the movies only have 15-20 mins of actual 3d scenes.

I only saw The Avengers in 3D and the effect was pretty good. At first... slightly annoying, but when you get used to it along the movie it gets pretty good.
