Any tips or tricks on using other peoples wifi? Can't afford Internet and there's like 30 locked wifis in my apartment complex.

True, true. Ask one of the neighbors for there password, I have my neighbors lol.
there is a program you can download but it is for linux. I have it installed on my laptop not sure what its called as of right now, no access to my laptop for a while, but it basically cracks their password and tells you what it is, not sure how lng you have to wait, i havent used it because i have wifi from my house

In the uk there is a global open wifi network anyone can join. However its only free to bt customers I can get accounts for them. Do you have a similar service in usa?
Also to crack wifis u need linux , aircrack-ng and hacked drivers for your wifi card.

There is something you can do to get onto somebody's wifi if they are on verizon.
My dad showed me how he did it one time after a hurricane. He got on our neighbors wifi, but it's definitely illegal.
They can probably see that you are on their email and maybe find out where/who you are if they are savvy.
I'd say just spend the 20 bucks a month and get yourself some internet. Not worth the hassle.

Go to somewhere with free wifi like a fast food place. There is this kid at our macdonalds there everytime I go with his laptop. Internet is not cheap. For decent internet it costs $35 - $50 possibly more. 50 x 12 = $600. That is a lot of money for some people. Even with a job and renting some people barely get by a month. Try 3rd party companies. hey get there internet from example bell and are way cheaper.
I mean, I bet he has some kind of cable? Possibly a house phone? Maybe?
I had to do a project where we had $1500 total for a month and had to figure how we would do it, and I found it was very possible. Just have to set your priorities. Do you want to buy those new shoes, or do you want to have internet
