Assignment 53 Guide
A guide to Neopet's newest game.
Assignment 53 is an 8-bit style game that is similar to Super Mario, or Sonic the Hedgehog.
Each world has 2 Acts. (Act 1 and Act 2)
There are 5 worlds. Wuba Prime, Octozodi, Wuba Secundus, Gorignak V, and Kreludor.
Nerkmids: These are like coins in the game. You collect them, and receive points at the end of each "act". You receive 10 points for each nerkmid collected.
Gravity Boots: When you find this power-up, they give you the ability to jump higher. They also help with wall jumping. If you see a narrow space, with a wall on each side, you are able to bounce off these walls. Simply jump and press the arrow in the direction of the wall, and you should easily jump up it. There are usually extra coins in areas you couldn't normally get to without this ability. If you are injured, you'll lose them.
Force Fields: These protect you for 14 seconds. During the time, you are shielded and simply running into enemies will kill them.
Energy Wings: These last for 9 seconds. They give you the ability to move faster.
Gross Foods: These will provide lives, as well as give you 100 points.
At the beginning you will have the choice of two characters:
There's no real difference. One's a boy, one's a girl.
1: This is your air. Think of it as a timer. If this runs out, you die. You will get a bonus for the air you have left at the end of the act.
2: These are your "injuries" or "chances" You can get hit 3 times by an enemy before you lose a life.
3: These are your lives. You start with 3. You can lose them by being hit by enemies 3 times or falling off an edge.
4: This is your nerkmid counter. You will get points for these at the end of the act. Also, for every 100 nerkmids, you will gain an extra life.
5: These are the nerkmids.
6: This is your score.
You will encounter several different enemies throughout the game. Some enemies walk back and forth, some shoot at you. By jumping and killing these enemies, you will gain 30 points. If you are hit by an enemy, you will be knocked back. Be careful if you're close to a gap!
At the end of each act 1, there is a lever. Pull this lever to end the act. To pull the lever, simply walk by it.
There are also pink levers through the game. Pulling this will gain you a checkpoint spot, so if you lose a life, you will restart there.
At the end of Act 2, there is a crashed spaceship with another alien, waiting for you. This will take you to the next world.
Wuba Prime Act 1:
This will lead you to a small ledge with a gross food on it.
Wuba Secundus Act 2:
This will take you to an area of nerkmids, a shield and boots. These will help you finish the act quickly.
Gorginak V Act 1:
Kreludor Act 2:
When you are here, jump at this wall. It should let you walk through it, into a small room of nerkmids and several gross foods.
For this one, you have to have gravity boots because you have to wall jump, where there are several nerkmids and gross foods when you reach the top.
This is the final boss. He'll bounce around a lot. To kill him, you have to bounce on his head. He also shoots, so you'll have to be careful. He will stop bouncing and this is the perfect time to bounce on his head. You can bounce on his head 3 times before it won't let you anymore. Then, he'll start moving around again and shooting before stopping again. This will continue until you bounce on his head 10 times. (3 times each, and then once for the final blow)
Score at least 20,000 points for A53- LIKE A BOSS
The best way to do this is to collect as many nerkmids as you can, especially in later levels where more appear. Don't forget to jump up walls if you can, as there are almost always several more nerkmids hidden in that area.
Trophies: (minimum score : 22,594 points)
GAMEPLAY TIP: the best way to get a lot of points when you're used to playing is to lose a life when you get to the point-check in each act (or when you feel like you have enough lives to do so). This way your Air Bonus will be higher than if you didn't die at all.

If there's anything that needs to be added/changed, let me know. It is a new game after all.
You make no mention of wall jumping in case you want to add that.
Oh right! Thanks
Updated! Thanks everyone for helping. New games are always a little difficult to make guides for.
Added a secret passage. If there are any more, let me know!
There are two secret passages that I know of. And you need to add a list of the worlds if you can. Currently it almost sounds like there's only 3 levels.
Except if you read at the beginning it says there are 6 Worlds, 2 acts each. Plus the final act. ;D I keep forgetting to catch the names of the worlds, I've been working on it though. lol.
I only know of the one secret passage.
There are four secret passages
