    LG DVD Driver Help

    Hi.

I have an internal LG DVD burner in my PC.

The thing is, every time I hit the button to open the drive, it won't open.

    The specific model is GH22NP21.

Will +REP if someone could help.

*Did you try opening the drive from your computer?

Not the actual drive button. Sometimes CD Drives are finicky. My old one I had to open from the PC because the button on the CD Drive wouldn't open itself.

*Is there software that needs to be installed so the PC can pick it up?

Your drive's open/close function is completely independent from any driver (and they all operate on a standard protocol without the need of a specific driver), so it's not software related.
I would first try ejecting it through the operating system, e.g. in Windows you would navigate to 'My Computer', right-click the drive and select "Eject". If this does not work then you have hardware failure.

Umm isn't that exactly what I said in the first option? lol

    Just didn't go into detail.

Oh well thanks for going into detail. Saved me a little bit of time I suppose.

The thing is, I can't see my drive in My Computer

I only see Floppy Drive (which is weird because I don't have a floppy drive)
