If I'm not wrong 90 days inactivity would make your account inactive, which means all mail sent to that account would bounce. But it takes 9 months of inactivity to purge the account I think

Deactivated e-mails can be reactivated by simply logging in with the proper username and password credentials. As to whether deactivated yahoo e-mails get purged, yes they still do get purged. They deactivate after 90 days of use, and i have recently re-activated yahoo e-mails with i have not logged in for roughly 1 year, not counting the inactivation period. (So 1 year - 90 days = 9 months deactivated). The purge that means is > 9 months AFTER the e-mail becomes inactive, I'll get back to you in 3 months whether some others get purged or not.
